Applies Statistics

Applied Statistics were a part of the measurement unit.
Objective: It Is Expected That Students Will....
  •    Generate a data set linear measurement.
  •    Calculate the mean, mode, median, and range of the data set.
  •    Create a histogram of recoreded measurements showing class interval and frequency.
In class we discovered the measurement of several wooden cubes using a dial caliber.

These are the measurements of the wooden cubes. They were measured in inches. All of the measurements range from between 0.748 inches to 0.759 inches.

This is the dial caliber used to measure the cubes. Not all of the cubes turned out to be the same size. Some were way smaller and some werent as big as others. The blocks were numbered from 1 to 27.

Sketching

In this unit of Intro To Engineering, we learned about several different ways of sketching. Oblique, Perspective, and Isometric. It was a fun experience and taught a lot.

This is the oblique pictorials. They
show the faces of an isometric object. You
can show any face of the object.
These were sketched and the width, height, and depth were labeled.
After sketching the oblique pictorials, conclusion questions
were completed.

This is the perspective sketching.  There are three points
in perspective sketching. One point perspective,
two point perspective, and three point perspective. One point
perspective and three point perspective look the same right?
Thats because they are the same object , the three point perspective is just
being sketched at an angle of the one point perspective.

This is the Multi-view sketch. It shows 3 faces of the overall object. It shows the top, right, and front views of the object. In multi-view sketching the depth should be equal as well as the height.
This is the isometric drawing. It shows angles of all of the objects. It has tonal shading on the front and side views but not the top.

Evolution Of The Ipod

This is the notebook
This is a view of the powerpoint presentation.

This project was about the evolution of an object. It was a debate on just what to do. No one really knew what would be the best evolution. Then we all agreed that we do Ipod's from Apple. They are an interest to a lot of people and music is a love of mine. The project was about how the object was born. We went from how the very first Ipod looked to how the very last Ipod from Apple was. We decided to only talk about the classic Ipod.

Beverage Container

This is the poster that we presented to the class showing how i product is made.
This is the notebook where my partner and I brainstormed our ideas.
This project was about enhancing a plain foam beverage container. My partner and I decided to make a hot and cold cup that can be for any beverage any temperature.
